Jane's 2nd Birthday

On January 16th, Jane turned 2! I can hardly believe it!!! Chris and I are so blessed to have Jane in our lives now. She is such a joy. To celebrate her 2nd birthday we had a little family party, generously hosted by my Aunt Lisa and Uncle Steve.

Happy Birthday Jane!

Meme and Babu drove down from up north to celebrate with us.

Grandma and Grandpa taking in all the action.

Presents!

Awesome new, pink bike!

Jane thought all her new toys were swell, but mostly she enjoyed playing with the balloon and riding on Grandma's walker :-)

Jane and Nanny on the porch swing.

Just catching up with Grandma.

Drawing "Happy Bears" with Uncle Steve.

Birthday cake with Meme.

Now this is fun!

The after-party with Babu.

Christmas 2010

We were in Mariposa for Christmas (last year) and we were lucky because there was a lot of snow in Yosemite that we were able to enjoy. Chris, Uncle Ben, Auntie Bridget, Babu, Jane and I had so much fun playing in the snow on Christmas Eve day, while Uncle Coco made his way north from Los Angeles and Uncle Danny flew in from Colombia. While the sledding, snowballs, and snowmen were very fun, the best part for Jane was eating the snow.

Back down the hill in Mariposa later that afternoon the weather was much warmer and Uncle Coco had arrived. Jane enjoyed taking a walk around the backyard with her uncles.

Hurray, Christmas!

Poor Uncle Danny was exhausted from his travels in Colombia and getting over a rough bout of stomach flu. But is was great to see him.

Uncle Coco helped Santa arrange all of Jane's new toys Christmas Eve night.

Jane's new "Yellow House" was a big hit with everyone.

Lily even got some "me time" in the "yellow house."

Jane and I were lucky enough to spend a little over a week in Mariposa over Christmas and during that time Jane went for lots of memorable bike rides with Uncle Ben. She still talks about them, remembering the color of the bike, what her helmet looked like, and the fact that she was wearing "slipper shoes."

A couple days after Christmas, Ben, Jane, and I took Danny to Oakland to catch his plane to Bellingham and after we saw him off we all went into San Francisco and went to California Academy of Sciences. The aquariums there were a big hit.

Here we are on the living roof.

*I know that Joe was much better pictures from Christmas, so I am hoping I can update this entry soon with some of his photos.

Late Fall 2010

I'm back! Here is my "every 6 months" deluge of blog entries which will bring everyone up to speed on all the news we deem worthy around here. This batch of a dozen or so entries will probably be followed up with another flood of updates right before the the 2011 holiday season. Enjoy!

Chris brought home the most delicious and architectural produce this fall. It was a treat to photograph and eat.

It is that magic time of night, about twenty minutes before the bedtime, that Chris and I become human jungle gyms.

In and effort to make bath time more interesting and two kill two birds with one stone, Chris dons his swim trunks and hops in with the baby.
